Our Vineyards
The Lancemore Group have 5.5 hectares of vines planted across our three properties. Tour one of our outstanding Victoria wineries.
Our Red Hill vineyard was planted in the late 1980s prior to our occupation of the site, and has 3.35 hectares of equal plantings of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. From this vineyard we produce our premium Pinot Noir Chardonnay Sparkling, Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir, Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay and Mornington Peninsula Pinot Rose. We will also be releasing a Mornington Peninsula Blanc de Blanc Sparkling mid 2010.
Our Macedon vineyard was also planted in the late 1980s, we have 1.6 hectares of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. In most vintages we produce a Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, however due to drought conditions in the growing season for the 2009 vintage we were unable to harvest enough Pinot Gris. The 2008 is currently available and is drinking beautifully, so we are hopeful for the 2010 harvest, watch this space.
Our Milawa vineyard, was originally planted and owned by Brown Brothers and was planted in the mid 1980's. With 1.6 hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, we choose one variety at each given vintage to produce a North East Victorian red from, bush fires and drought aside we have had some strong vintages. During your Victoria winery tour discover our just released 2006 Shiraz.
