Environment
From inception we have sought to create properties that have as minimal an impact on our environment as possible, as founder Jan Clark is passionate about environmentally sustainable design. We have continued to take a holistic view to maintaining environmentally "sustainable" properties and are constantly assessing and developing new strategies to increase our commitment to our environment and surrounds.
Each property has been designed taking into account three key areas of environmental
sustainability, Waste Management, Water Management and Energy Management which are supported by hard wired behavioral practices.
Community
We pride ourselves on our commitment to our local communities. Some of the many ways in which we contribute to our communities are;
- Providing employment for our family of 150 employees all of whom live regionally
- We use local tradespeople for all contract jobs and purchases where appropriate
- We employ local apprentices and are participating in the pilot program as a foundation supporter of the local Tourism Traineeship Pilot Program for year 11 and 12 students who are interested in a career in hospitality on the Mornington Peninsula
- The use of local produce in our menus and wine listsĀ
- And contribute to local charitable events and organisations with over $20,000 of goods and services donated on an annual basis
