Our Vineyard

Our Milawa vineyard was originally planted in the mid 1980's and owned by Brown Brothers. With 1.6 hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, we choose one variety at each given vintage to produce a North East Victorian red from. Bush fires and drought aside we have had some strong vintages and have just released our 2006 Lindenwarrah Shiraz.

In addition to our Milawa vineyard we also have vineyard at our two sister properies on the Mornington Peninsula and at Lancefield within the Macedon Ranges region, where we produce single vineyard, smalll parcel wines.

Our Red Hill vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula was planted in the late 1980's prior to our occupation of the sit, and has 3.5 hectares of equal plantings of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, predominantly D5V12 clone. From this vineyard we produce our premium Pinot Noir Chardonnay Sparkling, Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir and Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay and Mornington Peninsula Rose. We will also be releasing a Mornington Peninsula Blanc de Blanc Sparkling in mid 2010.

Lastly our Macedon vineyard was also planted in the late 1980's, we have 1.6 hectares of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. In most vintages we produce a Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, however due to drought conditions in the growing season we were unable to harvest enough fruit to make a Pinot Gris in 2009. There is still a limited amount of 2008 and it's drinking beautifully, so we are hopefull for the 2010 vintage, watch this space.
