Our Story
IT IS ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE..........
The Lancemore Group began in 1985, the brainchild of Management Consultants, Jan and Peter Clark. It began as a dream, underpinned by altruism and sound business experience. Our initial property, Lancemore Hill, was the first purpose-built Conference Centre in Australia, and one of the first to be built internationally. A new segment of the hospitality industry was born.
Lindenderry at Red Hill and Lindenwarrah at Milawa were also designed and built, always with our customers needs in mind, always with the desire to enhance and support the natural beauty and essence of the land itself. A large reputation for outstanding design and skilled staff has been forged, awards and accolades followed and regional tourism had been taken to new levels.
All our properties are surrounded by gardens and vineyards which produce our highly regarded wines. Lindenderry and Lindenwarrah each house critically acclaimed restaurants lead by teams assembled from some of Australia’s leading establishments.
All house fine collections of art and sculpture highlighting Jan's love and knowledge of fine and decorative arts. All have an air of elegance and good living. All seek to support their surrounding regions and most importantly all have been created with an awareness of the environment, with their own water supplies and their own sewerage treatment plants.
The Clark family, now including son Julian, Lancemore Group CEO, have created iconic properties and are recognised as leaders in their industry. Julian is currently the Australian Chapter Chair of IACC (International Association of Conference Centers), on the international board of IACC, the Chair of HMAA (Hotels and Motels Association of Australia) and a member of the Board of the MCVB (Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau).
We have been the setting of major Australian corporate planning, and of glamorous and happy Weddings and romantic dinners.
We believe it is all about the experience. Dreams are to be dreamt and fulfilled.
